On 22.10.1963, it was founded in the lead of Mehmet Bodur by consolidating the modest savings of the people in region, as a multi shareholder company. The aim of the establishment was to make the regions people have an alternate income resource, due to the retrogression in the tobacco business, and make them owner of their own company in their region.

Yenice Gıda San. A.Ş. is the first company producing dehydrated vegetables in Turkey and the plantation of bell peppers in the region was also started by Yenice Gıda San. A.Ş.

From the beginning of the operation, production dehydrated vegetables has been the main activity. Since 1988, frozen vegetables, and since 2000, roasted bell peppers have been produced in the factory. About 95% of the whole production has been exported to countries such as Germany, Holland, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Hungary, Norway and USA. The domestic customers are the leading companies of the food industry.

Our production capacity is about 200 ton/day raw material and about 1.000 - 1.500 Ton/year final product for dehydrated vegetables, about 30 ton/day raw material and 1.250 - 1.500 ton/year final product for frozen vegetables, about 2.000.000 jar/year for roasted bell peppers, in our plant with 16.500 sqm covered area.

The raw material (fresh vegetables) is 100 % controlled by the agricultural department, from seed to harvest. The whole production until final shipment is inspected extensively by the quality assurance department. The required analyses are made in our well-equipped laboratory. The tracebility from final product back to raw material is provided by the mean of the internal quality assurance system.

Traditionally, the hygiene and ambition to the top quality have always been having the first priority for us. To offer the top quality for reasonable prices, the investments and the improvements in these fields are carried out continuously. YGS has been working on reorganization and documentation regarding to ISO 9002. However, it hasn't been certified. YGS also works upon HACCP , as the QA system. .
